Privacy Policy

• Order details: your name, phone number, email, delivery address and area, what you bought and the amounts.
• Account details (if you create one): name, email, phone and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
• Payment details: handled by Paystack. We receive confirmation of payment and a reference, never your full card number.
• Reviews you write, shown with your first name and last initial.
• Technical data: your IP address, to limit abuse such as repeated failed sign-ins.
• Messages we send you about your order (WhatsApp and email), so our support team can see what you received.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal data.

• To fulfil your order (processing it, taking payment, getting your items ready, delivering them and sending you updates). Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• To run your account and let you track orders. Legal basis: contract.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• To keep financial records as the law requires. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• To send marketing, only if you have agreed; you can opt out at any time. Legal basis: consent.

• Suppliers we buy items from never receive your name, phone or address.
• Our delivery team or delivery partners receive what they need to deliver: your name, phone, address and the delivery location.
• WhatsApp (Meta) carries our order updates if you chose them at checkout.
• Paystack processes your payment.
• Service providers that host the site, store data and send our emails, under contracts that protect your data.
• Authorities when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the NDPA requires for international transfers.

We only use what the site needs to work:

• secure sign-in cookies, if you log in;
• your cart and chosen delivery area, saved in your browser.

There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

We keep order and payment records for as long as Nigerian tax and accounting law requires. Account details are kept while your account is open. Unpaid checkouts are kept only as long as needed to handle them. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

The site is served only over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, sign-in tokens are kept out of reach of page scripts, and staff see only what their role needs (for example, only the people handling your order see your address).

Under the NDPA you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data, where we don't need to keep it by law;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use;
• send your data to you or another organisation in a common format;
• withdraw consent you gave (for example to marketing) at any time.

Contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

MooreMart is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; we will tell account holders about important changes.
